Col\u00f3n de Armas, discute la situaci\u00f3n fiscal de Puerto Rico y cuestiona el tratamiento que le han dado la Junta de Supervisi\u00f3n y Administraci\u00f3n Financiera para Puerto Rico y la propia administraci\u00f3n local a las distintas corporaciones e instrumentalidades del Estado Libre Asociado. Adem\u00e1s, dedica una parte del escrito a analizar los retos fiscales que enfrenta actualmente la Universidad de Puerto Rico y esboza algunas iniciativas que podr\u00eda tomar el principal centro docente de Puerto Rico ante las reducciones presupuestarias. Por \u00faltimo, el autor cataloga como equivocado las acciones que se han tomado al tratar todas las deudas de Puerto Rico como una sola.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The author, Carlos A. Col\u00f3n de Armas, discusses the fiscal situation of Puerto Rico and questions the treatment that the Financial Oversight and Management Board for Puerto Rico and the local administration have given to the various corporations and instrumentalities of the Commonwealth. In addition, he dedicates a part of the article to analysing the fiscal challenges currently being faced by the University of Puerto Rico and outlines some initiatives that could be taken by the Island&#8217;s main educational institution in light of recent budget cuts. Finally, the author explains why the Government of Puerto Rico has been acting in an incorrect manner by treating all of the Commonwealth\u2019s debts as one single debt.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cita:\u00a0<\/strong>Carlos A.
