Celebration Pro Bono Service Month 2022

OCTOBER 2022: PRO BONO MONTH
OCTOBER 23 – 29 PRO BONO WEEK

The Pro Bono Program of the University of Puerto Rico School of Law welcomes and celebrates the month of October as the month of pro bono service.

175 law students have registered during academic year 2022-2023 to participate in the Pro-bono Program, choosing from 21 pro-bono sections that pick their interest and keep them active learning and sharing information with the communities to which they serve.  The pro-bono sections are suggested by the students according to their interests.  Together with mentors working voluntarily, the students set their work plan and objectives for the academic year, invite other students to participate, develop and disseminate useful general legal information for the interested population.  Students are invited to participate in the Program since the first day in Law School.

The Law School recognizes the importance that students get involved in the Pro-bono Program.  Through the pro-bono service, they add life understandings to their unique Law School experience that will also be useful to their future professional practice.   During the month of October, the 175 participants will be celebrating the pro-bono service in the best way they possible can:  Making legal knowledge available for the benefit of the people.
