REUNIÓN DE PRIMAVERA DE SECCIONES Y COMISIÓN DE LA AMERICAN BAR ASSOCIATION

Del 24 al 26 de abril de 2025, nuestra Escuela será la sede de la Reunión de Primavera de varias secciones de la American Bar Association. Nos visitarán los integrantes del Civil Rights and Social Justice Section, State and Local Government Law Section y del Commission on Racial and Ethnic Diversity in the Profession. Las actividades comenzarán el jueves 24 de abril con las reuniones de los Comités Ejecutivos. Protecting the Ballot: Addressing Voting Rights / Disenfranchisement of U.S. Citizens At Home and Abroad CLE

This Program will explore critical issues with respect the right of U.S. citizens to vote. It will look at ways in which there has been, and still is, systemic disenfranchisement faced by U.S. citizens both at the disenfranchisement of persons in marginalized communities in the U.S., Native Americans, as well as the challenges faced in voting by U.S. citizens who are resident overseas. The program will address matters such as the obstacles to register to vote, the need for amendment of the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act to ensure that all U.S. citizens residing abroad have access to the opportunity to vote.
